Sweetheart/Tribune Newsletter – June 2021

Undergraduate Chapter

This edition covers the last two semesters at Embry-Riddle, Fall 2020 and Spring 2021. Cameron Archibald, Tribune, and Jesse Andrews, Sweetheart, will be writing the monthly newsletters moving forward!

Embry-Riddle COVID Update

The school has announced that masks will be optional for everyone and the university will function as normal going forward. We're looking forward to a normal fall semester, without restrictions.

Alumni/Career Networking Event

We recently held our first alumni career/networking event, and it went very well! Thank you to all the brothers who came and spoke with the undergraduate brothers about their prospective careers. We'll be looking to host another one in the fall and will keep you updated on the date and time.

Fall 2021 Rush Week Update

Rush Week will take place September 15th-24th. We're continuing the recent tradition of an alumni Zoom event as part of recruitment — this year on Tuesday, September 21st (time TBA). It's been one of the favorite events among potential new members over the past year, and we'd like to build on that with even more alumni attending than ever before. If you're interested in attending, reach out to Recruitment Chair Brandon Rollins.

Chapter Achievements

Despite the adversity the chapter has faced over the last year due to the pandemic, brothers have still been thriving with plenty of achievements and opportunities:

We also had 5 brothers accepted to Horizons this summer (4 attending), plus 3 brothers attending KRACH.

Congratulations to This Year's Graduates

Johnny Janiak, Tico Moronta, Aleksei Ruci, Gary Wegener, Luka Suskavcevic, Nicholas Distefano, David Marsilio, Christopher Hunter Smart, Danny Juchtman, Austin Sorrells, Denzell Wilson, Tilo Moeller, Carter Crowley, Joey Antaya, Christopher Olmo, Reade Allen, Mason Fischman, Ryan Johnson

As a chapter this past year, we successfully initiated 10 new brothers despite the difficulties of COVID, making us the 2nd biggest chapter on campus currently — even with over a dozen brothers graduating over the past year. We have high expectations for the fall without restrictions and are looking to recruit our biggest pledge class to date.

As always, feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns.

In Hoc,

Cameron Archibald #937 and Jesse Andrews
