Latest Newsletter Online
The latest semi-annual printed newsletter was mailed out recently and the online version has been posted on etaiota.org. You can access the online edition as well as past issues and the monthly emails at WWW.ETAIOTA.ORG/NEWSLETTERS. A couple minor errors have surfaced since the newsletter was printed: the officer index on the front page should read "2002" instead of "2001" and our current treasurer, Mike Gehman's, email address should be "mikegehman@attbi.com"

Eta Iota's Spaghetti Dinner
As part of their Rush activities, the actives are holding an alumni spaghetti dinner at the House on September 20th. They have asked that any alumni who may be in the area to stop by and enjoy themselves for a night of reliving the EXperience with our undergraduate and propsective brothers.

Roofing Issues
A section of the flat roof over the main house has recently sprung a significant leak. This protion of the roof was replaced back in 2000 and luckily, the workmanship and/or products should be covered under warranty. Unfortunately, the roofing contractor has been rather slow in responding to calls and getting a crew out to make necessary repairs. We have enlisted the help of local lawyer, Tom Hart, to send a 'reminder' note to the contractors and mention the urgency of the situation.

2002 Fly-In & Static Display : "Embry-Riddle Salutes our Military Alumni"
As a tribute to the thousands of our military alumni, Embry-Riddle proudly presents the 2002 Fly-In & Static Display. Enjoy networking with alumni serving in the United States armed forces from all over the world. Over 75 aircraft are scheduled to appear, including : A-10 Thunderbolt, AH-64 Apache, AT-38C, B-1B Lancer, C-5 Galaxy, C-12 King Air, C-23 Citation, C-23 Sherpa, C-130 Hercules, C-130J, CH-47 Chinook, E-3AAwacs, F-4 Phantom, F-15 Strike Eagle, F-16 Viper, F-18, MH-6 Little Bird, MH-47 Special Ops, OH-58A Observation, P-3 UH60 Blackhawk and much more. Aircrafts participation subject to change. General aviation and corporate aircraft will also be on static display. Other highlights include children's events and activities, merchandise, and food vendors. Amap with directions and parking details will be available at registration.

College of Aviation Open House & Tours
Tour this new 75,000 square foot state-of-the art facility, which is Phase I of the new flight line redevelopment. Faculty members will showcase meteorology labs, air traffic control simulations, and high-tech aviation equipment.

Homecoming Dinner ~ "ERAU Salutes our Alumni in the Military"
Guest speaker Lt. General John M. "Mike" McDuffie ('77) enjoy a distinguished31-year career in the Army. He was an Army aviator and attack helicopter pilot, served as the president's military emissary for humanitarian relief operations in group vice president of defense programs and systems for the Anteon Corporation.

30th Birthday CDs
Last word from Gassi is that final touches are currently being put on the commemorative 30th Birthday CDs containing photographs & images from Eta Iota over the past 30 years. The CDs should be ready for mailing soon and we will update the status in next month's email.
